Hater's Guide to the Overwatch League (Summer Showdown Edition!)
Haters Guide to the Overwatch League No Overwatch is not dead. It’s actually going quite strong right now that they’ve finally found a structure that’s nice for them with these tournaments(Which is kind of what I said they should do at the start of the season but who cares what I think?). I don’t give a shit if Valorant is a thing, I’m personally not a fan of that game plus it’s owned by Riot (Not that Blizzard are much better). Anyways ONTO THE TEAMS! APAC Region:
The Dragons are by far and away the best team in this region and it absolutely shows. Combine ridiculous DPS players like Fleta and Lip with tanks playing out of their minds in Fearless and Void, an up and an under the radar support cast with guys like Luffy, Izayaki and Leejaegon. Their efforts have rewarded them a first round bye. Don’t let this placement go to your heads though, they could just end up like the Ravens and not actually end up doing anything.
If the Dragons are the Kings of APAC, then the Charge are the Princes. They could very well be on top of this region if only the Dragons weren’t around. The main weapons in their arsenal are Happy and Cr0ng. Happy is a dude who absoultlely loves to click heads on snipers and Cr0ng is just a phenomenal offtank. I’m not a huge believer in the Charge though, they had the first round bye and the 1 seed in the last tournament, the May Melee but they ended up losing to Seoul who placed dead last in their first game.
New York Excelsior
New York haven’t really been the same dominating title contenders that they were two years ago, despite some excellent additions to their team. They recently added Haksal, an amazing Flex-DPS formerly of the Vancouver Titans and Runaway. And they played him last week too… on Main support? C’Mon. I know Brigitte is powerful in this meta and he won Rookie of the Year playing her last year, but I can’t help but feel like there are much better uses for his talents than putting him back in Brig jail.
London have been on the rise lately thanks in part to a lot of their offseason additions playing well. Glister has been playing great as expected, Bernar is performing really well too, and so is Sanguinar, not to mention guys like Babel (Who destroys kids on Widowmaker), Krillin, and Highly performing well too. If they find a strategy that works for them, they could very well ride it very far into the tournament.
Seoul… Seoul… Seoul… when will you perform up to expectations and actually be consistent? I mean you spent more than a million freaking dollars getting Profit and Gesture (And more or less poaching BDosin as well). I could go on and on about how they looked mediocre at best in the regular season but I have a feeling that Profit is going to turn into God-Mode in a tournament as he usually does and all of a sudden before you know it Seoul are in the finals like they were last time. (Hopefully they don’t blow a 3-0 lead though, insert you blew it sound effect)
The Spark also got some upgrades in the form of Architect, who got reunited with GodsB (And they started destroying almost everything in sight together), and QoQ formerly of T1 esports and Runaway. I feel mostly the same way I do about London with these guys, if they find a strategy that works they could end up going far in this tournament.
There’s a reason everybody used to put the Hunters in what was known as “The Hunters Zone” in their tier lists. They don’t play like any other team in the League and despite the amazing talent level they have their record isn’t looking good. Let it be known that these guys can still beat anybody on any given day… as long as things go right for them. Jinmu, Leave, and Baconjack are an incredible DPS trio, not to mention Yveltal who’s one of the better main supports in the league. NA Region (Top 4 seeds get a first round bye)
San Francisco Shock
Only one team could have an MVP retire mid-season and trade away another star DPS player and still dominate their region by a very large margin. That’s the Shock. They’ve found their groove with their DPS players and are a much more refined team now. ANS was a more under the radar signing but trust me the Philly fusion know just how much he likes to click heads. Rascal pops off and is arguably the best Echo in OWL, and Striker just absolutely destroys everyone on Tracer. Oh by the way, if having the best main support in Overwatch League wasn’t enough, they now have two Top 5 minimum flex supports with the addition of Twilight. The NA Region is fucked.
In placements, things fell the right way for the Reign to get up to where they are. They absolutely dominate lower tier teams but haven’t gotten a win against a top team since they beat Florida about 3 months ago. They are the new gatekeepers of the elite. That’s not to say they are completely screwed, far from it. Their DPS line is fantastic, Babybay has emerged as a top hitscan player in Overwatch League (Even when they were getting dominated by the Shock he still handily beat out ANS in their matchup, which should say something). Edison is an amazing tracer as well, and Erster has returned to their lineup in projectile roles (His Genji is absolutely amazing). They favor a double-shield setup more than most teams and it seems like they’ll get to play to their strengths in this tournament.
Philly dominated NA for most of the year until they faced the Shock and then got their asses beaten so badly you can find what remains of their dignity in the well of Illios. They’re more similar to the Reign than they probably care to admit, they dominate lower tiered teams but lately they’ve struggled against better opponents like Florida and of course the Shock. Anyways what they have going for them is raw talent. Alarm is a shoe-in for Rookie of the Year, Funnyastro is a great main support, Ivy, Carpe, Heesu, their roster is loaded with talent and Chipsa. The problem is that Funnyastro isn’t a great Brig player, the best Brig player on their roster is Alarm, and Brig is the meta right now. This means that Boombox has to come in and play flex support while Alarm plays Brig. Boombox is serviceable but he’s not nearly as good as Alarm and it shows. A disappointing result will not suffice for Philadelphia fans though. You’re on the clock.
Even after their complete and utter collapse that resulted in them releasing all of their Korean players and coaches in a shitshow that you should probably google if you haven’t heard of it and forcing them to sign an entire new roster in the span of a couple of days, the new Vancouver Titans have found their groove and man they’re a pretty good team. This team is composed of some of the better talent that North American and European contenders had this year. Dalton is a guy who I was pleading for teams to sign in the offseason, Shockwave might give Rascal a run for his money in terms of echo play and is a pretty damn good snipehitscan too. Shredlock is a good main tank and their supportline of Carcar and Roolf is solid. Plus there’s the man playing offtank on 200 ping from Saudi fucking Arabia KSAA. They’ve meshed together really well lately and could go on a run if they get some momentum.
Los Angeles Valiant
Did their rebuild actually work? After calling the Valiant management complete and utter idiots in the offseason here they are with a top roster in the NA region currently. KSP lives up to his name and snipes people really well. Shax is also a contender for one of the top tracers in the league. Their efforts got them a win over the Florida Mayhem who were on a hot streak after the May Melee tournament and a 5 seed. Their opponent of choice was the Toronto Defiant… who happen to have 2 former Valiant players in Agilities and Kariv. This matchup is closer than most people realize, so it’s up to the Valiant not to screw up.
Los Angeles Gladiators
The Gladiators are one of the strangest teams in the league. On their best days they can challenge and beat even the Shock. On their worst days they’re losing to the Outlaws looking lost as LHCloudy tries to flank on Reinhardt. Birdring has been their rock on DPS but he’s gotten some help with the addition of Kevster from Team Doge (Who won North American contenders) and their supportline of Biggoose and Shaz are as solid as ever. Not to mention Space is an amazing offtank. Their opponent of choice was the Washington Justice, but the Justice took the series pretty far the last time they faced and seem to have clicked into another gear since then, again, it’s on them to perform.
Despite placing #2 overall in the May Melee the Mayhem are placed here in the Summer Showdown due to a loss against the Valiant and nearly shitting the bed against the Outlaws. Their biggest bright spots are Yaki (DPS), Gangnamjin (Support) and Gargoyle (Tank), who are all awesome on their roles, with Fate and BQB being pretty damn good in the other tank and dps spot respectively. Kris plays main support for them and his Lucio is very questionable but hey at least his Brig isn’t as bad. They chose to face off against the Outlaws, but with how close their match was last time I wouldn’t consider this a shoe-in victory whatsoever, as a matter of fact I consider it one of the more questionable ones.
The fated day for the Eternal finally arrived. Their prodigal son Sparkle is 18 now and is eligible for the Overwatch League, and he brings with him incredible skill on heros like Genji, Pharah and Doomfist. Oh and Xzi is back from Korea as well, so the Eternal are at full strength. I would normally be full of optimism but Shock was able to march on Paris faster than Germany did in World War 2 (Though to be fair Shock does that to everyone). The question remains as to whether or not the Eternal will rebound from their brutal loss against the Valiant in the last tourney and beat the Fuel. Sparkle on Genji almost seems to be a shoe-in for them to play DPS but I’m not entirely convinced he’s their best option available with Soon being a great tracer and both him and Xzi being great snipers.
Things were really looking up for the Fuel. The Decay trade ended up paying off massively as he emerged into the game breaking talent everyone knew he could be and all of their additions meshed really well together. Crimzo, Doha, Gamsu… all of their moves they made went about as well as one could reasonably expect for them to. Here’s the problem: Their head coach, Aero, benched Decay this month to “give him rest” (Even though there was a 3 week break before play started again?) in favor of a pickup who’s familiar with their organization in Onigod. Don’t get me wrong, Onigod is a great player, but he’s not Decay, and the Fuel’s record suffered as a result. The have a chance for redemption against Paris though. The big questions remains will Decay play or not. If he doesn’t… well things are about to get tough for Dallas.
Like their Texan brothers, the Outlaws offseason looks pretty good now as the Outlaws have found their groove. Danteh is the best western Tracer player and I don’t think it’s particularly close, no disrespect to guys like Shax, that’s just how good Danteh is, and he’s an amazing Echo player as well. Linkzr is their main hitscan player now and he still has flashes of brilliance reminding everyone why his nickname was Dinkzr. Hydration has taken over their main tank spot and he’s a better Orisa and Reinhardt than Muma was. Meko is playing brilliantly and Rapel and Rawkus have been doing well in their niches on flex support. Can Houston overcome the Florida Mayhem or will they fall once again though is the question.
Toronto are in a really weird spot where they have some good players but their results are always disappointing. Getting veteran maintank Numlocked to replace Beast (Who was underperforming and now seems to have disappeared?) didn’t fix things. Trading for Kruise who was sitting on the bench of Paris with FDGod’s emergence was a good move but not enough to send them into relevancy. Kariv is an amazing flex support player though, and you can argue that he’s one of the best in this region, he always stands out even when Toronto are getting dominated. They have a tough matchup ahead of them facing the Valiant but weirder things have happened.
YOU GUYS LOST TO THE JUSTICE?!?!?!?!? AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAH!!!!!
Concluding our roundup of the NA region is the Washington Justice, who are now all Korean except for Lullsish who is still stuck in visa hell but let’s not kid ourselves he will be gone in the offseason as the Justice are going all Korean. With Corey and Stratus retiring the Justice did the next best thing they could and picked up some old Runaway players in Stitch and JJanu. This doesn’t solve the fact that Roar is a below average main tank at best and Aimgod’s positioning is questionable but they seem to have found a new strength to rely on: TTuba’s Genji. This man’s Dragonblades single handedly saved them from the Uprising and with the new Genji buffs his carry potential gets increased even more. Will that actually work on any of the better teams? Probably not, but the Justice hit rock bottom and look as good as they have all year (Again, a really low bar) so I’ll try to be nice to them. Also they knocked out the Uprising to Qualify. So yeah. Cursing Predictions Time For APAC I think that the finals will end up being the Seoul Dynasty vs the Shanghai Dragons yet again. I’ve just got a gut feeling that Seoul are gonna end up tapping into their immense potential like they did last month again and pull off some massive upsets to get their way to the finals, but I think it is Shanghai who will end up victorious, they’re just too good of a roster. Actually scratch that with the way the bracket is Seoul would face Shanghai if they win so I'll uhhh go with Shanghai vs Hangzhou. For NA the Shock are basically a Shoe-In so I think they’ll end up facing against the Paris Eternal. I think the right pieces are coming together at the right time for the Eternal and I think they’re gonna be thankful for it. Shock will still win though. Let’s not pretend otherwise. Where/When to watch: You can watch the Overwatch League on their Youtube Channel here and view the matches here. They also have an official bracket builder so you can make your predictions as well. The Knockout Rounds for the NA region start on July 3rd. The Quarterfinals for both regions will be on the Fourth of July and the Semi-Finals and Finals will be on July 5th.
Before answering this, let’s think: If Bobo in Los Angeles wants to leverage cryptocurrency returns, what should he consider first? The answer given by Bobo may be: 1. Choose a currency with a small market value that he is familiar with. 2. Choose a safe and reliable exchange, and leverage trade through the exchange. https://preview.redd.it/vkztph6q2la51.jpg?width=1400&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=c3f865de4b1b555fc51185929f502f58f02fd6cc How to get the most out of cryptocurrency? Unlike spot trading, in leveraged trading, the purpose of most traders is to obtain short-term high returns. Let’s assume Bobo is the same. If drastic fluctuations happen, high-market-value cryptocurrencies require large amounts of margin. However, small-market-value currencies demand only a small portion of funds to cause drastic fluctuations. In this case, the latter one is more suitable for leverage trading to get the maximum profit. Taking the five cryptocurrencies of BTC, ETH, LINK, DOGE, and VNT as examples, the current market value has reached $172.686 billion, $27.01 billion, $2.186 billion, $501 million, and $1.4114 million, respectively. If the market value fluctuates by 5%, then it requires margins of $8.634 billion, $1.35 billion, $107 million, $25 million, and $70,000, respectively. Like putting boulders of equal volume and density into Lake Belga and the Baltic Sea at the same time, the water of Lake Belga will overflow the surface of the lake and irrigate the fields in Siberia, while the sea surface of the Baltic Sea will not show a ripple. To conclude, the small-market-value currency is a better choice for Bobo as he wants to maximize profits in a short-term. How to choose the right exchange? At 17:56 on July 8, 2020, the leverage trading price of VNT/USDT in MXC Global rose by 14.17%. However, the leverage trading price of BTC/USDT increased by only 0.78% in 24 hours. Bobo is familiar with VNT, and has critical judgments on the price trend of it. Thus, before the price going up, he had already prepared to buy VNT long with multiple leverage. At….., the VNT/USDT trading pair on MXC Global rose by …, while in the meantime BTC/USDT moved only 0.78% ……, he had already packed some 5x leverage VNT/USDT margin pair in his bag. But the problem is that, at present, only our exchange and Bibox supportVNT/USDT leverage trading (margin trading). Bobo is a senior user of our exchange and is satisfied with previous experience. Therefore, he has obtained ideal returns by buying VNT long with five times leverage.（by buying long of VNT with 5x leverage） This example proves that margin trading is a way to maximize short-term returns. The success relies on two indispensable aspects: a smaller-market-value cryptocurrency and a trading platform that supports a large number of margin pairs. margin trading Among many exchanges in the world, we support as many as 78 margin trading pairs, which is the platform that supports the most currencies. In addition, our margin trading system adopts isolated margin mode. it supports 2-10 times leverage , and allows automatic borrowing and returning functions. Orders and cancellations can complete borrowing and returning of currency.(The loan can be made or repaid automatically upon placing or cancelling an order). From the beginning of 2020 till now, we have upgraded the leveraged trading system by 7 times, which has greatly optimized core indicators such as quoted depth, position spread, lending efficiency and matching efficiency (lending and matching efficiency). Why choose a reliable trading platform? “Reliability” means: 1. Safety and regulation-compliance. 2. The trading platform has strong risk control ability. Also, core indicators like quoted depth, matching efficiency and position spread, have advantages. 3. Pay attention to the core requirements of global users, produce cryptocurrency trading products with heart. We have become the fastest growing one-stop cryptocurrency trading platform in the world. At present, our trading business integrates OTC trading, currency spot trading, leverage margin trading, Leveraged ETF, index products, contract trading and POS staking services. In 2019, our daily volume of trade accounts for 5% of the global market. The daily trading volume of MXC took 5% of the global market. According to CryptoRank data, our leveraged ETF currently accounts for 70.1% of the global market. Since our establishment, we adhered to the development strategy of “centering on global users” and “global compliance trading”. With the support of strong products and professional team, we aim to create a one-stop cryptocurrency trading platform that meet users’ needs. We have obtained legal licenses registered in the United States, Canada, Australia and other countries, so we can conduct cryptocurrency trading legally and locally in those countries. In terms of OTC, we have reached strategic cooperation with European payment company Simplex and Southeast Asia payment company Banxa, which allow users to directly purchase BTC, ETH with Visa and MasterCard.
You made it! :) First up, SORRY! This has been a late post, I have my reasons don't question them (if you must know I'll be posting in the discord - one time only haha). Secondly, I am sure you can agree with me when I say "Wow!" What an incredible week it has been. Last week I thought it was going to take a couple more weeks for more moving price action when it had only taken a few days which has seen Bitcoin reach and pass the $10,000 region. We have also seen the total Market cap for cryptocurrencies increase from about 280B to over 300B (308B at time of writing) within just a few days. A huge injection of liquidity, about 40B, into the market and just to name a few of the best rises in the top 20 (on Coinmarketcap.com), the price of ETH BTC ADA have given good performances/positive responses (With this I will start adding screenshots at the end of each week for timestamp purposes). This may be a combination from Binance, Mastercard, Paypal, Grayscale investments, VISA AND the DEFI sector. Let me explain... Last week we read about Binance integrating with the company Swipe (SXP) to issue there own debit card expanding the use and reach of cryptocurrency to 31 countries within Europe. Binance's Q2 scheduled token burn of $60.5 Million, this figure correlates with its exchange, margin and futures trading platforms where approximately 20% of profits get burned to increase the price of BNB token (careful as the price has been steady after the burn). This week we find out Mastercard's expansion into the Cryptosphere as they expand and integrate with the Wirex team to issue a Mastercard-backed Bitcoin debit card, thus further extending the reach of cryptocurrency availability internationally. "The cryptocurrency market continues to mature and Mastercard is driving it forward, creating safe and secure experiences for consumers and businesses in today’s digital economy " "...Our work with Wirex and the wider crypto ecosystem is accelerating innovation and empowering consumers with more choice in the way they pay" Mastercard is also reaching out to other emerging cryptocurrency firms to apply to become principal members [Partners] with Mastercard as they have relaxed their digital assets program and look to expand into the Digital Assets and Blockchain environment. Paypals expression of interest in cryptocurrency facilitiation may bear fruits as it is said Paypal has partnered up with stablecoin operator Paxos (who is already in partnership with Revolut in the US) to facilitate trading through a cryptocurrency brokerage which will enable other firms to integrate cryptocurrency trading functionalities with them. In my opinion this looks much more promising than the Libra association they pulled out from last October as regulations. Grayscale Investments clears regulatory hurdle as they have been given the green light for its Bitcoin Cash Trust (BCHG) and Litecoin Trust (LTCN) to be quoted in over-the-counter (OTC) markets by US Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA). “The Trusts are open-ended trusts sponsored by Grayscale and are intended to enable exposure to the price movement of the Trusts’ underlying assets through a traditional investment vehicle, avoiding the challenges of buying, storing, and safekeeping digital Bitcoin Cash or Litecoin directly.” More green lights for Cryptocurrency in the US as regulators allow banks to provide cryptocurrency custody services (which may go further than just custody services). A little bit strange as it seems unnecessary and undermines one of the key factors and uses of cryptocurrency which is to be in complete control of your own finances... On another outlook this may be bullish as it allows US banks to provide banking services directly to lawful cryptocurrency businesses and show support for Bitcoin. Visa shows support stating they have a roadmap for their further expansion into the Crypto sphere. Already working with Crypto platform Coinbase and Fold they have stated they recognise the role of digital assets in the future of money. To be frank, it appears to be focused on stable coins, cost effectiveness and transaction speeds. However they are expanding their support for crypto assets. AND MOST IMPORTANTLY, DeFI! Our very own growing section in crypto. Just like the 2017 ICO boom we are seeing exorbitant growth and FOMO into the Decentralised Finance sector (WBTC, Stablecoins, Yield farming, DEXs etc). The amount of active addresses on Ethereum has doubled but with the FOMO on their network have sky rocketed their fees! Large use-cases of stable coins such as USDT ($6B in circulation using ERC-20 standard), DAI, TUSD, and PAX. $114M Wrapped Bitcoin (WBTC) on their network acts as a fluid side chain for Bitcoin and DEX trade volume has touched $1.6B this month. With all this action happening on Ethereum I saw the 24HR volume surpass BTC briefly on Worldcoinindex.com In other news, Bitcoin has been set as a new precedent in a US federal court in a case against Larry Dean Harmon, the operator of an underground trading platform Helix. Bitcoin has now legally been ruled as a form of money. “After examination of the relevant statutes, case law, and other sources, the Court concludes that bitcoin is money under the MTA and that Helix, as described in the indictment, was an `unlicensed money transmitting business´ under applicable federal law.” Quick news in China/Asia as floods threaten miners and the most dominant ASIC Bitcoin mining rig manufacturer Bitmain loses 10,000 Antminers worth millions alledgedly goes missing or "illegally transfered" with ongoing leadership dispute between cofounders. Last but not least, Cardano (ADA) upgrade Shelley is ready to launch! Hardfork is initiated as final countdown clock is switched on. P.S. Dr Seuss collectables on the blockchain HECK YEAH! and Bitcoin enters NASCAR, remember when Doge did this? it was like when Doge was trending on TikTok. ... Oh yeah did I also mention Steve Wozniak is suing Youtube, Google over rampant Bitcoin scams. Wait, what? Sydney based law firm JPB Liberty is suing Google, Facebook and Twitter for up to $300B. Just another day in the Cryptosphere.

I really liked the concept, if not necessarily the execution, of the Venice civ in Civ 5: a civ that play like a city state. Given the bias towards playing wide in Civ 6, I think this concept would be completely unplayable in Civ 6. However, I still really like the idea of a mercantile empire that is focused around a major city, with perhaps fewer and smaller cites, that is still viable to play. I came up with this concept (not fully fleshed out) that revolves around the idea of civ that uses traders, not settlers, to found smaller cities on territory that is marginal or scattered far afield to expand their trade empire centered around a large, powerful, and culturally significant capital. Leader: Enricho Dandolo Civ ability (Bride of the Sea) Non-capital cities are less productive and grow slower, and capital is more productive/grows faster. More trade routes (unlocked at a point depending on balance). Trade routes originating in the capital have higher yields/give culture (depending on balance). Trade routes sent by other civs to Venice give more gold/culture to the sending civ (depending on balance). Cannot build settlers. Worked bonus water resources provide 1 amenity for the city. If needed for balance, can buy more things with gold. Starts with a galley instead of a warrior. Can build galleys at start of game. Leader Ability (Merchant Enclaves): Coastal cities (or within x tiles of coast, depending on balance) have more defense (and/or depending on balance, start with defenses) Coastal cities gain loyalty from the governor in Venice in addition to any other governor in the city, and loyalty pressure is exerted to Venetian cities by Venetian trade routes passing through the city. Coastal cities take longer to become disloyal. UU (Merchant of Venice): Replaces Trader. Available earlier (depending on balance). May traverse water tiles. Longer range than normal. Larger yields for traversing water tiles. If there is a legal spot to build a coastal city within x tiles of a trade route originating in your capital and ending in a foreign civ or city state (or one of your own, depending on balance), then you may can settle a city on a spot of your choice within x tiles of the trade route's path upon its completion (depending on balance, doing so is either free, expends the Merchant of Venice, or costs some amount of gold). Cities founded in this way start with a trade post belonging to your civ, and a trade post belonging to the target civ of your trade route. UD: (Venetian district/Whatever the floating parts are called): replaces the neighborhood. 1/city except in capital (or only in capital, depending on balance). Available earlier and at reduced cost. In capital, provides culture, gold, great merchant points, and later tourism (depending on balance). Provides additional adjacency bonus to districts. Housing depends on number of adjacent coastal tiles. Must be built adjacent on the coast adjacent to both the land and another district, and cannot be adjacent to another Venetian district. Each time (or less frequently, depending on balance) the sea levels rise, there is a diplomatic emergency. Players that support the emergency spend gold and hammers on a project to prevent a random Venetian district from flooding. If the project succeeds, 2 diplomatic victory points are given to the highest contributor, 1 to 2nd place contributor, and diplomatic favor to the 3rd place contributor, and the district is saved and is given a permanent boost to tourism (alternative idea the district is only saved). If the project fails, the district and all buildings/great works inside the district are permanently lost (alternative idea continued: the district and all buildings/great works inside the district are permanently lost, but every remaining Venetian district gets a boost to tourism) In the capital, these districts can build expensive 1/ Venetian district unique buildings that can only be built once and are essentially unique wonders for your civ. They may be built in any order after they are unlocked, but each one built doubles the cost of the next. The Venetian Arsenal: Gives production and great admiral points. Parent district becomes defensible like an encampment, naval units built in your capital are cheaper to create with production or 2 for 1 when produced with production. Naval units protect trade units within 4 tiles. Piazza San Marco: yields essentially cosmetic great prophet points (since they'll all be gone by the point you get it) and great artist points as well as faith/culture and later tourism (alternatively gives a percent boost to overall city faith/culture/tourism yield). Relics/religious art give culture in addition to faith. Contains 2 slots for a great work of art and 1 slot for a great relic, and is themed when it contains a sculpture and a religious painting from a Venetian artist and a relic from a defeated civ. The Grand Canal: Provides gold, food, and great Merchant points. Trade routes starting in capital to other civs or city states give higher yields. Murano Glassworks: Provides culture and production. Provides one copy of a unique luxury resource (Murano Glass) that provides gold/culture/tourism to Venice every turn a civ other than Venice possesses it. Provides 2 great work of art slots, one of which is already filled with the great work Murano art glass. Venetian artifacts that are not owned by Venice provide culture and tourism to Venice as well as the civ that possesses them. Doge's Palace: Provides 1 governor title. Two governors may be placed in your capital (if this is too strong, governors take only 1 turn to establish themselves in Venice). Start Bias: always starts on a coastal island near the main land that is designed to be always be not terrible (since your capital is so important). So the idea is a Civ with some very strong abilities that is limited by several big drawbacks. First, it will have a slow start because founding cities will be slow and require you to protect your trade routes. Moreover, some of its really strong abilities are in competition or mutually exclusive. For example, do you use the trade routes to expand, make money, or boost the size/production of Venice? Which mini wonders do you prioritize in Venice?

I have to admit, I lost a lot of faith in VTC watching it creep to 20k sats only to be shat upon time and time again this month. I stopped trading it til today I decided to short it from 18k-19k sats.. Open up the exchange a few hours later and I just fomo bought at 21.8k and 22k sats. There was a ton of bull volume shortly after I bought tonight, saw a 16k VTC buy order get filled. Which hopefully means those who took profit there will be rebuying on bounces and allowing new players to take over once RSI cools down. Hope I wake up to 1.50$ VTC in the am

Why Dogecoin is NOT a joke currency any more? What we need to do now as a community? why Ð1 = Ð1 and it needs to be that way, even on the Moon.
Anyone who is part of Dogecoin community, knows that it started as a Joke. The founders never thought that it will reach it's current market capital. It's really amazing how people adopted dogecoin and It's been a fun journey so far. However, If you go through our reddit community posts, it's still full of meme posts. Shibes are obsessed with Ð1 = Ð1 slogan. But what does it mean when we say Ð1 = Ð1? What does it mean when we say DogeToTheMoon? and more important question is, Is Dogecoin still a joke? Simply put, Ð1 = Ð1 means, as a community, we don't care about the prices of Dogecoin. We love Dogecoins and will HOLD it regardless of it's Fiat price. so really "Ð1 = Ð1" is what "HODL" stands for in altcoin world. On the other hand, people want to take Doge to the moon? does it mean we want it's market capital and Fiat value to increase? Yes and No. For me, Doge would travel to the moon, when I am able to exchange my Dogecoins for goods and services. That when I will consider Doge on Moon. And we will aim for Mars next. I am sure many fellow Shibes would agree. The whole idea, behind DogeToTheMoon, is to make Doge popular and accepted form of payment. As more and more folks join the dogecoin ecosystem, the more popular currency becomes. As a result, trade volume increases, hence driving up the prices and new projects. What we as a community need to insure?-
As prices of Dogecoin increases, we need to make sure Doge does not turn into just another crypto. What sets dogecoin apart from all other currencies is it's community. Doge is the fun and loving crypto currency and it should remain the same even when it's fiat value increase.
Use Dogecoin. In order to make Doge popular, we need more and more folks to be part of Dogecoin community. The best way to do is to tip a Stranger who is not part of dogecoin community. When you tip someone who is not registered with /sodogetip, they will need to register first to claim the tipped Doge. When they register, they are introduced to Dogecoin Community, they can't resist to be a part of our community. I mean who would not want to join a community like this where everyone is so friendly. The most harsh comment I ever received was when I posted a Doge Meme which was actually a cat. It read "It's a cat. Bad Shibe." To be honest, it broke my heart but there were no "F" words used.
Come up with your own way to promote Doge. I have already seen some really good examples of that where people organizing giveaways with puzzles. I have plans to create a DogeHunt Website, where treasure is Dogecoins.
PS: To promote Dogecoin, I have setup a Dogecoin Merchandise Shop: Shibes on /dogecoin get special Discount.
"DogeMerchs by EnriqueK" Store - https://goo.gl/cj4JCV [Speical Discount for /dogecoin Shibes, only shows up when you select a Merchendise from homepage] For traffic through other sources (other than dogecoin sub-reddit), there is no discount. I use profits gained from other sources to market the shop on social media and organize giveaways.
Note that: I do not gain anything significant out of it. I have kept a small profit margin to avoid loss and spend on marketing.
So in Summary, we need to keep the Dogecoin spirit alive while growing in numbers till we reach the Moon and beyond. At present, none of the crypto currencies are really currencies, they are more of a trading asset. People put in money to get more money. I believe, Dogecoin is our best shot at stablishing a true digital currency which can be used practically as an alternative to fiat. It does not require crypto Ninjas or Support from Sharks to make a currency usable. It really comes down to a bunch of folks who are willing to exchange currency without being obssessed with it's prices. and in case of Doge - "Ð1 = Ð1" and I hope it ramains the same...
As mentioned earlier, I have opened up a Dogecoin Merchendise Shop to spread Dogecoin reach beyond our community and I need your support in this attempt.
