Could someone please help me understand margin trading profits
Lets say I have 200 DASH as collateral and would like to go long on it vs USD with current price of 100$ per DASH. I buy only 200 DASH on margin and wait until the price goes to 1000$ DASH, what would be my profits estimately? I know you can't know how much interest would I be paying, but please give me an estimate. Also how does trade vs USD reflect on the liquidation price? If I have 200 DASH and borrow 200, then I guess until DASH is 0 I'm good to go? If I go long vs BTC by looking at the history seems like all I can earn is ×4, but If I go long vs USD then there is ×15 possibility, is that correct?
[Noob Question] Can someone explain how to calculate margin trading profit in a simple terms please
Sorry for the Noob question ahead of time. I understand it is risky and all. I am just curious, how do you calculate the profit from margin trading for an example like this one. I have 1000 ether (at 50 USD each, which is a total of 50,000 USD) and I borrow 1000 ether more. Now I am at 2000 Ether in total. Can someone explain the rest. In a profit/loss calculation? Please and thank you.

Forgive my stupid question but I can't quite get my head around the following: If I open a position of 1BTC x3 leverage, when BTC = $10,000, when BTC hits $20,000, do I get 3BTC and when 1BTC hits $30,000 I get 6BTC etc? Or do you get the profits in dollar form, so if BTC doubles you get $30,000, triples you get $60,000 etc. Sorry for convoluted/badly worded question! Thanks
After calculating margin trade profit, how should it be recorded for taxes?
I've manually calculated my BTC profits from margin long positions for the year. How would I show this on taxes? Lets say you have 1 BTC profit from margin longing ETH/BTC. What is the correct way to identify this trade on bitcoin.tax? Also, is it true you can declare margin trades as a CFD and count the profit as income rather than capital gains?
Margin traded and profited 5000+$, Binance are denying margin trading activities and not paying out USDT profit.
Firstly, I issued a ticket and sent my proof and claim to the Ticket support & Live chat support who are refusing to acknowledge my trades. I sent this twice. I have had a 2.2x margin on XMR and profited during the latest rise in price. Yesterday when I exited my position I did not receive my USDT profit. For an unknown reason/technical glitch my margin trade history / order history is totally blank. I have collected proof of the margin trading from other pages on Binance, such as interest dashboard of debt/equity ratio, interest rate payments, proof of borrowing and repaying the borrowed XMR together with a screenshot during my margin trading activity. Binance are still denying that I have been involved in any type of margin trading activity, it's getting really ridiculous. The support team are circumventing my questions and proof. If I haven't been involved in margin trading, what have I been paying hourly interest on? Why do I have borrowing & repaying records of XMR if I haven't been involved in Margin trading? Why does my dashboard clearly show that I have in fact margin traded? I don't know if this is a well thought out scam or the customer support being completely incompetent, either way it's very unsettling and I hope a supervisor can step in and help me resolve it. I made some twitter posts with attached screenshots of all the evidence: https://twitter.com/FilipJansson19
And Activision is trading at the same price it was in February... how do people not realize how much the gaming industry is making. They don’t produce cashflow from ads but from in game purchases with 100% profit margin and the sale of the game.
Question about margin and number of trades per week, and profit
Here's the hypothetical, let's say I want to try and trade five days a week (assuming I can find good trades each day) and my max loss/profit I will target through limit and stops is $500 per day. Let's assume I have $50k cash in a brokerage account. Let's assume I'm targeting $50 stocks * 1,000 shares (maybe two trades a day @ 500 shares each, or whatever like that). Since it takes 2 days to settle, I think that means in this scenario I could only trade M/W/F. I have another $50k I could transfer in but maybe I don't want to do that for some reason. If I enabled margin on this account would it allow me to trade on T+1 days while I wait for the last day's sales to settle? What's a typical rate for that / how much profit does it eat into?
