[Warning to anybody considering using Bitmax] Bitmax suspended trading on margin account with open positions for 36 hours

I'm gonna keep this short and post the google drive at the end of screenshots and whatever else.
First time I lost 15k because support wouldn't close my trades when I lost access to my account and was waiting for 2fa reset. Fine, shitty system but still my fault for not having a back up.
Second time there was a bug in their system in calculating my margin because i had a long and short open at the same time. They disabled my trading, I could not sell my asssets to reduce the leverage and fix the calculator. I begged and pleaded support for 2 fucking days to either unsuspend the account and let me sell the assets or for them to close my positions until they figure out whats wrong with my account. By the time it was fixed and I saw the message, I already went from a 60k usdt balance to 30k. At that point I didn't even fucking care and left the trade open to get liquidated.
They even assigned me a direct contact account manager. Which is literally the only reason it was even fixed 36 hours later. The telegram support just kept telling me "wait" "I don't know" and variations of "add funds, fuck off". I have been a full time trader for 1 year as my source of income, I switched to bitmax from my secondary to my main exchange after not having problems for months. I regularly did 1m volume a week, and paid them 300-500$+ a month in margin interest.

Is it possible to open up a margin account and trade off a cash account?

Sorry if this has been asked before, but I am Canadian and for thinkorswim in Canada, you must have 5k USD in deposit and open up a margin account.
I myself am not ready to trade with margin yet.. Therefore, is it possible to just open both accounts, One margin and one cash.. deposit the 5k in the cash, get the live quotes and trade off the cash account?

Just opened a TD account to test out the platform... haven’t used any margin, haven’t free rode any cash... traded only options thus far... received a margin call today 🤦‍♂️ does TD just automatically send out the call, regardless of if you’ve free rode or used margin?

Just opened up a margin account but see no way to access/trade with it

I feel so stupid, I've opened up my margin account, shows that it is open, but no where can I see the option to access or trade using this account. It's almost as of I have the account but no access to it.

Opened a Schwab account in light of the Robinhood shitshow this week. Declined both Options and Margin trading. Schwab still did a hard credit inquiry on my account. Is this normal?

Seems extreme to put a hard inquiry on my credit history just for opening a very basic brokerage account where I'll be holding market and industry ETFs.

Should I open up a margin account with my brokerage firm (E*Trade) or should I just outright borrow the money from my bank?

I would like to get back in to doing some investing on my own. I'm looking at some ETFs with a couple that pay dividends, but the primary focus would be for capital appreciation. I would like it to be able to help with purchasing a condo/townhome in Southern California (or at the very least, help with paying HOA dues). I don't anticipate taking on many risky positions (short selling, writing options, futures, etc). What are the pros and cons or what should I consider between whether to borrow from the brokerage or borrow from my bank. Or should I just pick whoever offers the better rate?

What do banks look at when you try to open a margin account for trading?

Specifically TD Direct Investing. I currently have a cash account with them but I'd like to open a U.S. margin account so I'll have access to the Thinkorswim platform. I'm a 20 y/o male in university with a 705 credit score (Equifax) and 2 years of trading experience.

Opened a TFSA but traded in Margin account [Taxes]

In 2016 I opened a TFSA and followed the online brokers instructions of how to open and fund the account.
The first email said to send funds to account 12345 which I did and it was a success to create the link (verification). Then I received an email about account 12345 and account 56789. I recall calling the broker about the 2 acounts and was simply told I could trade from both. I don't have a recording of the call and have asked them to find it but they said their records don't go that far back.
With their answer I didn't think anything of having 2 acounts opened as I had only filled out paper work to open a TFSA. I sent funds to account 12345 as this is how they had first told me to send money, turns out it was a Margin account. I've traded in this account ever since.
Last week I received a letter from revenue Quebec asking about trades I have done in 2016 and why I haven't declared them and paided taxes on any gains. I spoke with revenue Quebec and they said it's possible to have the broker correct previously issued tax statements they sent. My broker is saying it's not possible and have not admited fault in the matter.

Do I threaten legal action vs the broker? Should I do that once I get the tax bill?
Once I submit my trades to revenue Quebec I will get a tax bill which I can challenge, is it worth it or should I pay the taxes and try to pass them along to the broker?

I'm not sure of the amount of money but I would think around 1k in taxes with the 6% anual penalty.
Please help!

My boss and I talked about opening a shared ib account, getting portfolio margin and utilizing option pricing inefficiencies for arbitrage opportunities. Only risk in any trade would be a failure to deliver on behalf of the broker. My question is with portfolio margin...

Can anyone tell me if that’d even count toward buying power once the full trade is locked in? Or can i essentially just repeat it until the price is back to efficiency?

Their margin rate at 1.6% seems to good to be true. For someone who uses margin and pays much higher at TD, how do these stack up -
How is the options trading platform?
How is the customer service?

When you die, your debt dies too

I was forced to flair it shitpost just in case.. but hear me out. I think I found a very cool very legal way of becoming guaranteed millionaires with no risk, while sticking it to fucking brokers and debt collections agencies.
Fuck those vultures, your tax dollars bailed out most of the former group anyway
Here's the plan
  1. Find an even number of homeless people who still have social security numbers (and haven't filed for a bankruptcy yet). Better yet, drug addicts. This is the hardest step. Say you found 2.
  2. Open brokerages in their names, fund it with small amounts. Say 5-10k each. Become their financial advisor.
  3. Find a highly volatile derivative on a highly volatile security. Say oil futures
  4. Go long in one set of accounts, short in another. One account goes negative, other might go to 6-7 figures.
  5. Take profits on the winner, ignore margin calls in the other.
Also works with terminal relatives and cancer patients.
Edit: I now have more awards on a shitpost from an alt than my 7 yo real account. Thank you fellow autists! In case any degenerate is taking this seriously, I have a very rare, covid repelling amulet to sell you

Edit 2: Fuck I wonder if shopify will let me sell those amulets online. TAM is yuuuuge so many of you OD'ed on vaccines as a baby. For future reference a "trading strategy" that begins with homeless drug addicts is not an advice or suggestion, nor is any other post that might fit the plot of It's always sunny in Philadelphia. Upvote 💩and go back to flippin' burgers. I will not respond to DMs.
